Semitrailer crashes into pole, shuts down road in Mass. town

Police in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, are investigating the scene of a crash that left the tractor unit of a semitrailer seriously damaged on Tuesday.

The truck was traveling down Pond Street in Hopkinton when it crashed into a utility pole and several trees.

Hopkinton police said Pond Street from Erika Drive to 20 Pond St. in Hopkinton will be closed for the rest of the day due to the crash.

All motorists are advised to find an alternate route.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by police.
