Power pole damaged following tractor trailer crash in Cross Lanes

A Kanawha County roadway was shut down Monday evening after a tractor trailer crashed into a utility pole, causing power outages.

High-tension power lines were downed along Cross Lanes Drive, according to a social media post from the Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Department. The post urged traffic to avoid the area until the roadway is cleared.

Deputies said the pole caught fire and has caused service issues for some customers, but no injures were reported.
