Bicyclist died in collision collision with pickup truck in Victorville

A collision between a bicycle and a pickup truck in Victorville over the weekend left a 45-year-old man dead, authorities said.

Manuel Rivera of Victorville succumbed to his injuries at a hospital following the crash, which took place about 6:20 p.m. Saturday at Mojave and Village drives, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials.

"The driver of the GMC Sierra remained on scene and cooperated with deputies," the agency said in a written statement. "The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation."

No details regarding the circumstances or cause of the collision were available Tuesday.
