Concrete mixer truck overturns in Talladega County; 1 killed

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a concrete mixer truck crash in Talladega County that took place Friday, September 27.

The crash took place on Alabama 76, five miles northeast of Childersburg in Talladega County.

According to ALEA, at approximately 11:05 pm, James T. Trussell of Sylacauga was operating a 2004 Sterling LT9522 concrete mixer when he left the roadway and struck a metal post.

Trussell then re-entered the roadway and overturned.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not clear as to why Trussell's vehicle left the roadway at this time.

ALEA continues to investigate.
