Tractor-trailer driver falls asleep at wheel, crashes into five cars

The driver of a tractor-trailer fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into five cars on Interstate 95 in Johnston County Friday night, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on I-95 near Smithfield around 10:30 p.m.

At least two people were seriously injured in the crash.
