10/15; 1:30 p.m.—According to the New York State Police, the accident occurred shortly before 9:30 in the Town of Plainfield.

The report was regarding a two-vehicle collision involving injuries.

"An investigation at the scene revealed that a Ford Escape was traveling east on US-20 when the vehicle entered the westbound lane and made contact with the side of a tractor trailer. The operator of the tractor trailer was unable to avoid the Ford Escape, which sideswiped the tractor and the entire side of the trailer," NYSP stated.

The tractor-trailer then lost control and hit a utility pole.

A 56-year-old woman from Sherburne was ejected from her vehicle and remained conscious at the scene.

She was taken to Wynn Hospital for serious injuries.

The 70-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured.

Rt. 20 has been closed due to hanging wires, with detours established.

The investigation is ongoing.

WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. -- An accident occurred on Tuesday morning between a tractor-trailer and a car, located between Bridgewater and West Winfield.

The incident took place at around 10 a.m. on Route 20, near the location where the county boundaries transition from Oneida to Herkimer and then to Otsego counties.

The accident involved a tractor-trailer along with at least one other vehicle.

Route 20, east of Bridgewater, has been closed.

A collision occurred on Tuesday morning in West Winfield, involving a tractor trailer and a car.

Both the West Winfield and Unadilla Forks fire departments arrived at the scene.
